There ain't nothin' quite like bluegrass and beer in the summertime. Beat the heat and sip the suds in our tasting room, where we'll be hosting musicians Hassan El-Tayyab of eclectic acoustic group American Nomad, and Deirdre Donovan's Americana band, Butter Side Up. As always, we'll have 8 delicious beers ready for your enjoyment, and food truck eats from our friends at Canasta Kitchen.
Opening our show is Hassan El-Tayyab, a decorated musician with roots in Americana and folk. He's known for his brilliant songwriting and his spirit for travel and adventure. We're proud to feature such an artist who cares so deeply for his craft and sharing the human experience.
Our headliners, Butter Side Up, developed from the principle of serendipity. Six seasoned Bay Area musicians came together through many years of playing alongside each other in the SF scene. With talent, experience, and love of the bluegrass jam session, it was a match made in heaven, all adding up to a lotta fun and musical excitement! Butter Side Up featuresTom Lucas (Crooked Jades, Earl Brothers, Savannah Blu, Taco Jam) on fiddle, Ted Kuster (Beauty Operators, Colonels of Truth) on banjo, Steve Owen (Burl Haggard, Rock Soup Ramblers, The Shut Ins, The Turlock 2) on dobro, Dan Large (Alhambra Valley Band, Mandolin Symposium, Mountain Fire, Savannah Blu) on mandolin, Alec Oyung (Harmony Hollow, H.O.S.S., Mountain Fire, West Of Kentucky) on guitar, and Deirdre Donovan (Circle of Friends, Footprints, Harmony Hollow, H.O.S.S., Sonic Safari, West Of Kentucky) on bass.
