San Francisco Beer Week 2018
We're excited to celebrate our third SF Beer Week with our fellow Bay Area brewers and beer lovers! For the uninitiated, Beer Week is the magical time of year when breweries break out their most special releases for a week long (give or take a few days) celebration of local beer. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9TH: OPENING GALA
The SF Beer Week Opening Gala kicks off a week of beer-centric festivities throughout the Bay Area. We're joining our fellow Bay brewers for an evening of some of the finest brews in Northern California. Get your tickets quick, there won't be any available at the door!
Not going to be able to make it to the ball? Don’t worry, Cinderella, join us in our tasting room from 4-8pm get one of our sippable session beers plus a taco for $5, and we’ll have some of our Beer Week brews on tap for a super special preview of what we have in store for the beer-iest week in the Bay Area.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH, 12pm to 6pm: Saturday Social with Make a Wish
Saturday Socials are our way of giving back to the community that so enthusiastically supports us. On the second Saturday of every month, we'll join forces with a local non-profit organization to raise both funds and awareness for their efforts to make the Bay Area a better place. For this special Beer Week Saturday Social, we’re the Greater Bay Area chapter of Make-A-Wish will join us for great beers and a great cause.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH, 12pm to 8pm: Tiki Party
It may be winter, but we’re partying tiki-style to celebrate our most tropical beer yet: POG Saison! This barrel-aged brew is loaded with passionfruit, blood orange, and guava for a beer that is super juicy and as refreshing as a Mai Tai. Canasta Kitchen will be serving up some special island-inspired dishes as we crank up the surf jams and break out our most obnoxious Hawaiian shirts.
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14TH, 5pm to 9pm: Menagerie Welcome Party
Dearest Distinguished Drinkers, you are cordially invited to the very first Menagerie event of the year! Since our welcome shindig falls on Valentine’s Day, we’re throwing a party complete with all the over-the-top glitz of a high school dance. Dress in your best sequin and tulle dress or powder blue tux, strike a pose against our Valentine’s Day photo wall, and kick up your heels to the finest love ballads the 80s had to offer. All that’s missing is that bottle of peppermint schnapps you swiped from your folks’ liquor cabinet to drink under the bleachers (or was that just us?). Instead, we’ll have our special Beer Week releases on tap, including Cherry Red, Sahti, and POG Saison.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH, 4pm to 8pm: Yappy Hour with Oakland Animal Services
It's no secret that we love pups! We're joining forces with Oakland Animal Services to help some four-legged friends find homes. Join us for a super special Yappy Hour from 4-8pm with adoptable shelter dogs at the tasting room from 4:30 - 6:30pm. Dogs are, of course, welcome, and we’ll have special treats and a pup photo booth so you can snap some selfies with your fur baby. Don’t worry humans, we have treats for you, too--get one of our featured brews plus a tasty taco for $5! A portion of pint sales for the night will go to Friends of Oakland Animal Services, so you’re helping just by ordering a beer. Cheers, pups!

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16TH, 4pm to 8pm: Hoppy Hour
Over the past three years we’ve earned a reputation for being IPA free, but we’re breaking tradition for an extra special Beer Week Happy Hour. Our new brewer, Mike, is cooking up some higher IBU brews for all your hopheads. We’ll tap his small batch experiments for a hoppier edition of our weekly happy hour! Score a beer plus a taco from Canasta Kitchen for $5 from 4-8pm. Yeah, you read that right--a beer AND a taco for $5.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17TH, 12pm to 9pm: Barrel-Aged Bash
Be it a barleywine, Belgian blond, porter, or saison, we think that barrels make just about any beer taste a little better. We’re breaking out our cellar supply to share some of our finest barrel-aged brews from the past three years, including the Port-barrel aged Batch 44 / Dubbel and our very first bottle release, Batch 9 / Apricot Golden. Try special curated flights of our barreled beers while they last!
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18TH, 11am to 3pm: Chilaquiles & Chill
Nurse your week-long hangover with Canasta Kitchen’s ridiculously tasty chilaquiles, and enjoy one last round of our special Beer Week brews before giving your liver a well-deserved rest.
