WOOHOOO! After years of planning, months of hard work, and a whole lot of beer, I‘m proud to announce that Cleophus Quealy Beer Company is opening on November 1st, 2014!
Deep breath, Peter. Stay calm. It’s hard to contain my excitement as we’ve been working on this for over five years now. As a matter of fact, Dan and I did our first brew together on October 31st, 2009. How auspicious that our opening day falls almost exactly on our five-year brew-versary!
Alright, not to be too much of a buzzkill, but let’s reign in the excitement a bit and call this what it really is: a soft opening. We may still be putting a few finishing touches on the place, and we're still battling with the credit card system, so please pardon our dust. But the place looks great, and the beer tastes even better, so come say "hi" and let us pour you something you'll love.
First things first: We're located at 448 Hester Street, in San Leandro.
We’ll be open Saturday from 12 – 9 p.m., and Sunday from 12 – 8 p.m. We have eight amazing beers that we’re excited to share, and hopefully a working credit card system (so please bring cash just in case. Remember: soft opening!).
On Saturday from 1 – 4 p.m., we’ll have the Chairman Bao food truck selling their delicious steamed and baked buns with your choice pork belly, braised pork, spicy chicken, or crispy tofu. Their menu and prices are here.
Finally, if you haven’t seen it yet, check out our tap list for a quick peek at what we will have on hand on opening day.
We’re excited to show you the all work we’ve done, and chat about where we’re going from here.
Thanks for all your support — We can’t wait to see you!
