Nothing makes an afternoon quite like live bluegrass and an ice cold beer. Join us on 10/29 for both, along with our foodie friends at Canasta Kitchen for a rousing good time!
First to hit the stage is Joe Ledbetter of Ledbetter & His Best Bet. This ever-changing rotating band is different at every live show! Joe Ledbetter is a San Francisco Bay Area based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, looping artist, two-time nordic track and field champion and BBQ aficionado. He has a background in musical theater and has also played drums in a several bands, including The Dont's and The Absinthe Glow.
Ledbetter's band is whatever his Best Bet seems to be at the time. Good old friends are always stopping by. Sometimes it was a baker's dozen of players with strings, brass, kazoos, and a theremin. Another times its a cello and a mandolin. Many times it's just Ledbetter and a looper.
Following Ledbetter is one of our all-time favorite CQ acts, returning to our tasting room once again, The Dim Lights. This ain't your average family band. The Dim Lights are an exciting Bay Area bluegrass band formed by the Frankel Family (Dana on fiddle, Vicki on bass, and Avram on guitar) and include CBA lifetime member Larry Cohea on banjo and veteran mandolinist Matt Kendall. Their first gig at a Moose Lodge came about by the recommendation of a plumber, and here they are. Grounded in traditional bluegrass and family values, these skilled musicians have toured their fair share of festivals, campouts, and breweries. We're always thrilled to welcome them all the way from Pacifica, California.
